Welcome to MICO. By downloading or using this application (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Use (the "Terms") set out by Vector Mesa LLC ("Developer", "we", "us", or "our").

1. License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. This license transfers no ownership rights to you.

2. Not Medical Advice

MICO estimates the nutritional value of food and gives motivational feedback. It is not a medical device, and neither the app nor its AI coaches provide medical, dietary, or psychological advice. Calorie and macronutrient figures are estimates and may be wrong, particularly when they come from a photo. Do not use MICO to diagnose or treat any condition. Consult a qualified professional before changing your diet, especially if you are pregnant, have a chronic illness, an eating disorder, or a history of one.

3. Price

The App is currently free to use and early access is offered at no charge. If paid features appear later, their price and conditions will be shown before purchase, and payment will be handled by your app store (App Store or Google Play) under its own rules on renewal, cancellation, and refunds.

4. Your Account

An account is optional: the App works locally without one. If you sign in, you are responsible for keeping access to the Apple ID used to sign in. You may delete your account at any time from the app settings.

5. Restrictions on Use

You agree not to:

• copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App;
• circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with the App's security features;
• use the App for any unlawful purpose;
• upload content belonging to someone else, or content depicting another person without their consent.

Violating these restrictions may end your license and your access to the App.

6. AI-Generated Content

Coach replies are generated by an AI model. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation, and the coach personalities — including the deliberately blunt and sarcastic ones — are an entertainment format, not an assessment of you. Decisions about your health remain yours.

7. Your Content

You keep ownership of everything you upload or create in the App, including food photos, progress photos, and diary entries. You grant us a limited license to process this content solely in order to provide the App's features, such as estimating calories and generating coach replies. We claim no ownership of your content.

8. Availability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that it will run uninterrupted or error-free, or that the estimates it produces will be accurate. Features may change or be withdrawn.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for any loss of data, revenue, profit, or reputation arising from your use of the App. Where a jurisdiction does not permit such limitations, our liability is limited to the minimum the law requires.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and delete it together with your account. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are breached.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. You will be notified of significant changes in the App. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Disputes arising from these Terms or from your use of the App shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Georgia.
